Director Juana Watkins FL Division of Real Estate
Juana Watkins is a native of Pensacola, Florida and currently serves as the Director for the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation, Division of Real Estate.
She is a graduate of Florida A&M University and Florida State University College of Law. Before coming to the Division of Real Estate, Ms. Watkins served as Senior Counsel for the Florida REALTORS where she had the responsibility of providing in-house legal services to the largest trade association in the state of Florida. She gave training courses on a variety of issues including antitrust, regulatory compliance and much more. For over 16 years Ms. Watkins has been a member of the Florida Bar.
Juana Watkins has previously served in several capacities within the Division of Real Estate. She was Senior Attorney, before her promotion to Chief Attorney, then Acting Director. She also served as the Deputy Director before her appointment by the Governor to her current position as Director. Prior to her service with the Division of Real Estate, and the Florida Association of Realtors, she was an Assistant Public Defender for the Orange County Public Defenders Office.
