1031 Exchanges:

Investment in Real Estate has seen its ups and downs over the last decade. Savvy Investors are taking advantage of the tax strategies available. Investors and real estate industry professionals need to understand how to utilize a 1031 Exchange.

Attendees will learn the ins and outs of 1031 Exchanges. They will learn intermediate terminology and the practical skills concerning exchanging under IRC §1031.

In addition, attendees will learn what types of real estate qualify, who can be a qualified intermediary, logistics of an exchange, and timing rules.

Self Directed IRAs

Recent reports state that there are currently $6.8 trillion in investments in IRAs, but only about 5 percent of those
funds are self-directed. Real estate professionals who understand how self-directed IRAs work have the opportunity to cultivate an
entirely new client base in retirement plan owners and can potentially tap into the large percentage of IRA funds
that are not yet self-directed.

In this section, the following will be covered:
• The different kinds of accounts that can be self-directed
• Types of real estate and other assets permissible in self-directed plans
• Rules that govern real estate in IRAs
• The responsibilities of Midland IRA, as well as the roles clients and real estate professionals play in these transaction
